Well, the party is over for the 2008 car cruise season. We would like to thank all of you for making each and every cruise a success. For some reason, Mother Nature likes to toy with the Wednesday weather. We were hoping to have a larger turnout for Havin, but given the conditions, we were pleased. It got really cold when the sun went down.

What a perfect night for a cruise! There was not a single mention of the word rain all day and the cruisers showed up in full force. I think the actual count was 83. Way to go!

Once again we had several new cars on display. Two that come to mind were a 1955-Series 62 Buick Century Riviera convertible in aqua and cream and a bright Steeler yellow 1969 Cadillac convertible. They were beauties!
We only have 1 more cruise left this season, October 1st. We hope to see everyone and then some. Let’s break an attendance record and go out with a rooaarrrrrrrr!!!! We don’t have much time till the 1st, so get the word out.

As usual, Hemi Denny kept the music spinning and the crowd entertained. We had approximately 73 show cars. There were several new cars this time and boy were they real beauties! The crowd loved the 1955 gray Cadillac convertible (Series 62) owned by Ed and Nancy Geilfuss from Pittsburgh. It was actually a car from Hollywood. They have promised to bring their 1955 Buick Century Riviera 4-door hardtop next time. That’s sure to be a hit!

Mother Nature attempted to once more rain on our parade, but the cruisers were determined to show up anyway. It proved to be the right decision. Hemi Denny and approximately 80 cruisers enjoyed a beautiful evening. The weather was perfect and the cars were spotless. One lucky person took home a 50-50 prize of $84.00 Congratulations! By the way, we found an earring laying around and assumed it wasn’t a donation. Feel free to swing by, have a bite to eat, and pick it up.

Winter always seems to take forever when you are waiting for the first car cruise of the season. May 14th finally arrived and along with it came the rain and disappointment. Fortunately for us, with each month comes another opportunity for a cruise and this time mother nature was on our side. Not only was the weather beautiful, but all the car owners had an extra month to shine their cars and shiny they were.
